FROSH SHOT WILL BE FIRST

The 3 X 400 Intermediate Hurdle Relay will be a three member team relay with all three team members running  the 400 I.H. at the same time against three members from another team.  Times will be totaled and the team with the lowest time will win.

 

All Freshmen will compete AS ONE GROUP THERE WILL BE NO DIVISIONS, medals to fifth place.

 

Entries close on April 6, 2009

 

A fee of $22.00 will be charged for each team entered in each event.  Make check payable to MATAWAN ATHLETIC PARENTS FUND RAISING COMMITTEE (APFRC).  (One scoring entry per event per school—THERE WILL NOT BE ANY “B” ENTRIES

Awards:  Medals to members of the first three teams.  Trophy for the team with the most points in each division.  Plaques for outstanding performance on track and in field – male and female.

 

The meet will not be postponed, regardless of the weather.

 

N.J.S.I.A.A. rules will be followed.

 

All equipment shall be supplied by participating schools -such as:  shot puts, discus, batons, starting blocks and safety pins.

 

Spikes:  Maximum 1/4”                                      Divisions:    III -- Group 4 Boys and Girls

                                                                                             II --  Group 3 Boys and Girls

                                                                                              I --  Group 1 and 2 Boys and Girls

Scoring:  10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1

There will be three throws or jumps on the shot, discus, javelin and long jump.  In the high jump and pole vault, competitors will get six jumps or three consecutive misses, whichever comes first.
